Great day out to the Rio Celeste park and Sloth sanctuary. Guide was great looking after myself and daughter and was very knowledgeable about the area and wildlife. Journey time is long from San Jose but this was made longer by road closures but out of anyone's control, However we enjoyed the journey, the Rio celeste and the bonus was the Sloth sanctuary which was wonderful with a fantastic local guide who took us on a walk around the reserve. Thank you to all
Amazing tour!!

This tour was amazing! The view of the river was stunning and our tour guide Yancy took us to an area where we could see the gradient of the colour changing which looked spectacular. We also saw a range of animals including monkeys. On our way back our tour guide stopped along the road to show us some sloths - definitely one of the highlights of our trip!! I would highly recommend this tour and also requesting Yancy.

How can I put this into words ,by luck we booked with A&E as always from the UK its all a bit of guess work . What amazing luck apart from being the people that made our holiday fantastic ( we had 5 tours with them ) to people we miss as friends . great knowledge of the areas looking after Me and Maria on every Tour . I can say we miss Costa Rica Now we are home but the last tour we had was like leaving friends .
If you are going to book a tour in costa Rica book A&E and no one else

We had an amazing experience with tour guide Yojhan and driver Juan Jose. They were extremely friendly, professional, and kind. We had booked this excursion last minute(literally the day before), and Yojhan was extremely communicative in keeping us updated about the logistics for the tour the next day. We were picked up 5:15am sharp. We had a traditional Costa Rican breakfast(included) before reaching Rio Celeste. The beautiful rainforest-feel hike was around 2.5hrs-3hrs. I would suggest wearing hiking shoes due to the muddy and slippery trail + mosquito repellents but I hiked with my Birkenstock sandals and it was fine. Yojhan was extremely patient with us. Rio Celeste was beautiful. Please note that swimming in Rio Celeste is prohibited by the government. We then had an extremely delicious lunch(included) next to the National Park, omg it was soooooo yummy yummy. We also stopped by a cute maze called Katira Labyrinth. Since there was only a few of us in the tour, the guide offered to stop by the town in La Fortuna for a quickstop on the way back for a quick souvenir shopping. We did not get back to the hotel until 8pm. The trip is a must!
best tour in Costa Rica

Best tour we did in Costa Rica. Saw so much wildlife that we never would have spotted without a guide. The water was amazing, and even in the pouring rain, we had a blast. Everyone in the group loved it.
Beautiful Waterfall!

The tour is a long day with 4 hours of driving from San Jose to Rio Celeste but definitely worth it. Our driver Johan and our tour guide Luis made the road trip very comfortable and fun. The breakfast and lunch were very good. The Rio Celeste trail could be challenging for some people that are not used to walk and climb stairs. The sloths watching was informative and fun too.
