Overview

Our overnight Pacuare Adventure is a Paddle and Hike expedition. Not only will we raft a variety of exciting rapids, but we will also hike to pristine waterfalls, fun swimming holes and primary jungles. This package includes at least one hike a day, based on your athletic and adventure desires.

Pacuare River Lodge is amazing. The staff and the grounds could not be any better. We will be back. Exploradores driver was amazing during the most difficult of times.

Mula is the MAN!

Our guide Mula made the trip! We had an absolutely amazing time. From the organization of transportation to the amazing food to the luxury camping area... I could not recommend this experience enough. Do yourself a favor, book this trip if you are ever in Costa Rica. Be sure to ask for Mula as your guide, you will not regret it! Remember you can tip over but you can't over tip. ;)

Best rafting trip in Costa Rica

The communication with Exploradoro was brilliant. I had a special request that they pick me up from the airport later than usual to make the trip and they specifically arranged a private transfer for me at an extra cost. The driver was on time and very was well organised. The rafting equipment was in good condition and our 2 guides were very good at what they did. We were pleasantly surprised with the nice food they cooked for us and I loved how they stopped and gave us fresh fruit snacks along the way. The scenery was incredible along the way and it is definitely one of the most beautiful rafting experiences I have ever had. It should be in everyone’s to do list as one of the top 10 things to do to do when visiting Costa Rica. The overnight accommodation was very basic at Pacuare River lodge but it was better than camping and the rooms had beautiful views across the river.
I would recommend that you take a book to read or something to keep you busy once you arrive at the camp around 3pm because there is no wifi and it was just nice to sit there and read or have something to do while enjoying the view. I would also recommend taking sandals that strap around your feet that can get wet and that you can also use for walking to the different waterfalls along the way. If you enjoy taking GoPro videos, take a GoPro attachment that you can stick on top of your helmet. I had a chest mount but the view from it is just too low. Also take some snacks with for sundowners and a beer or 2 that you can put in the cooler box with the food. Definitely go and do it!

I did the 2-day overnight trip and it was worth every penny!!
Well organized from the beginning to the end.
Great guides with incredible passion for their job ( thanks to Roy& Michael). They knew not just everything about rafting but also every bird, every plant, every animal. Very inspiring!
The lodge for the overnight stay was amazing.
Overall a lifetime experience!!!!
Can only highly recommend it!
