Overview

Our unique Farm-To-Table Food Tour in San Jose "Barrio Escalante", will take you into the heart of traditional Costa Rican cuisine, as each dish is prepared with fresh products that are all sourced from ingredients grown within the country. We will explain to you the concept of each local dish, as well as the modern twist they have added to the country's food scene with each of their restaurants.

At restaurants and coffee shop, you will be welcomed by the chef, manager or owner (or meet them at the end) as they explain to you what goes into preparing the signature dishes and drinks hand-crafted by each proprietor.

The restaurants for this tour were chosen due to their farm-to-table concept and innovation with traditional Costa Rican cuisine. You will consume fresh, locally sourced organic greens and vegetables during the tour.

- This is a private tour and we can change the starting time, please contact us to customize it.

This is a walking tour in a very nice, historic and trendy neighborhood in San José.

Walking time between restaurants takes less than 10 min. (We chose the best restaurants for the concept farm to table, no artificial ingredients or flavors, fresh fish - catch of the day, organic fruits and veggies, signature dishes inspired in local and traditional recipes) You will try the best Costa Rican specialty coffee.

You will receive personalized service at each restaurant, the dishes are prepared specially for the tour.

We will make 3 stops while we walk through Escalante neighborhood.
• First stop: 3 medium-sized starters, a natural drink. (fresh seasonal fruits)
• Second stop: 1 starter, 2 medium-sized main dishes, a natural drink + dessert.
• Third stop: Coffee workshop, 4 coffee tastings, and a dessert.
