What To Expect
Discover several beauties of Costa Rica in a single day, on this Arenal Volcano Mega Combo Tour. You will be picked up in the morning from your San Jose Hotel in an air-conditioned vehicle. Then drive along the less-traveled “scenic route” to Arenal, with great views of volcanoes, plantations, waterfalls, jungles, and local towns. En route to Arenal, stop in a coffee plantation where your guide will show you the coffee plants, and will give you a briefing about coffee in Costa Rica (coffee degustation will be provided in a rustic restaurant later on).

Paradise Hot Springs
Continue this perfect day of adventure and sightseeing by relaxing for a couple of hours at the thermal mineral waters of Paradise Hot Springs and Gardens, where you will find small pools, Jacuzzis, and cascading waterfalls on larger lagoons, all surrounded by the most beautiful tropical gardens. After soaking in the hot springs, you will head back to your San Jose Hotel and will have a delicious dinner in a Costa Rican typical restaurant on route.

Fernando was an amazing tour guide, his knowledge and easy going personality had a lot to do with the great experience.. we visited a coffee farm, a waterfall, zip linned through the rain forest, rappelled a big rock wall and ended up relaxing in the hot springs at a great location.. we also made enough stops through the tour to get souvenirs, go to the bathroom and stretch our legs, so we didn’t feel tired at all (it is a 15 hour tour).. the tour was great, the other guests were great, and the tour guide and driver (Fernando) were the top of the cherry.. also, the food we got (very light breakfast, lunch and dinner) were delicious and very traditional.. all in all, a great experience..

This was an amazing experience, from the Hot Springs to the zip lining and everything in between. It was almost a 15 hour day, so be ready for that but it was totally worth it

Tour guide Harlem and driver Tita were awesome, all the stops, the ziplining are totally worth the long ride from San Jose. The springs was more like a pool(s) and hot tub(s) but it was nice and relaxing.

Harlem was amazing! We had a blast on the tour and learned so much about the area. We saw sloths and birds galore and waterfalls and iguanas. The zip lining was incredible. We highly recommend this tour. Harlem (and Jimmy our driver) were both great!

Great guide service provided! Fluent in both English & Spanish with humor so you'll have a laugh. Driver is very experienced even though the roads are curvy.
We made a few stops at a local snack stand & a restaurant for snacks/coffee. (Included in your purchase.) Also the waterfall & sloth sitings.
Ziplining didn't require much hiking at all so anyone can do it I feel.
Spa had 2 big (technically hot tubs) pools & 1 middle section pool that was super hot like a hot spring. Depending on your preference. Showers have soap to wash off after too. - alcohol available but you pay.
Lunch and dinner included as well.

This trip was AMAZING 10/10. I have been on many day trips and this is by far the best I’ve ever been on. Yes, was a long day but 100% worth it. There was so much activity packed into one day! We had plenty of time at each stop about 10-30 min depending on the stop to explore and take pictures. Our guide was Alex and he was great! He was funny, educational and a great photographer! Could not recommend anyone better!
Our personal favorite activity was the hot springs! This was a surprise to be because I was expecting a natural small not spring. Nope! This was a glamorous spa with many different pools at many different temps. Overall amazing!!!!

This tour was amazing. Alex was our guide, we got picked up at our hotel on time. There was about 12 people on the tour total. We made a few stops along our way to the arenal area, with each stop having an opportunity to use the washroom/buy/have snack. We did the zipling and it was really fun, you will want to leave your belongings in the car because there is no locker to use. There was about 8 lines down, exhilarating! Then we went to the hot springs for about 2 hours. At the hotsprings there's lockers to store your stuff, with the locks provided by Alex for free. Bring cash into the hot springs to buy drinks/water at the swim up bar. Alex provided towels as well.
Overall for the day, pack lots of bottles of water and maybe a few snacks. Bug spray also!

This excursion was amazing! Juan was a great tour guide. He provided the history of Costa Rica and made pit stops along the way to see and take pictures of sloths, iguanas and other exotic animals while on our way to our destination. Juan also ensured our stuff was safe while we were away from our van. I give Juan and this experience 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is a jam packed day full of adventure at every turn! Juan picked me up directly from in front of my hotel - and after that I didn’t worry about a thing, he’d planned and taken care of everything.
We started the day with the coffee farm, where i purchased the rare peaberry coffee and learned about the scientific and social means of producing coffee. We visited La Paz waterfall and a cafe and a lookout point nearby.
Juan made some stops along the way, to make sure we were able to see sloths and iguanas! He explained the history of San Juan and Costa Rica.
The lunch was delicious. The zip lining was an amazing adrenaline rush, followed by a presentation from the indigenous people of costa rica.
Next we relaxed at the thermal bath - it was so pleasant and exactly what we needed.
As a solo female traveler I felt incredibly comfortable in Juan’s hands and was fortunate to go on these life changing adventures with a very diverse group of people from all walks of life.
I highly recommend this tour if you don’t have a long time in costa rica.

We had such a great time with our tour guide Juan. He was so helpful and very easy to talk to. He really makes you feel comfortable with him especially if this is your first time in Costa Rica on an excursion. He helped us order food and drinks and seemed very knowledgeable about the places we visited and it's history. He was very attentive and checked in with us throughout our excursion to make sure we were well looked after. He kept us well informed about our itinerary and ordered food and drinks ahead of time so when we arrived at our restaurant and cafe spots our food was ready by the time we were seated. I highly recommend this agency and recommend Juan as a guide especially if you don't know any English or have a group of people who do and do not know Spanish. He was very good at keeping all parties informed and made sure everyone understood what or where we were traveling next. He was very organized and had great time management. Thank you Juan!

Oscar was great, giving us all little tidbits about the locales and pointing out the animals along the road. Going on the Zipline was great and rappelling down the rock wall was a lot of fun. The perfect way the end the day was in the hotsprings
