What To Expect
Jardins da Cachoeira de La Paz
This day we will leave your Hotel for the Poás de Alajuela area, we will make a stop for a brief explanation about our golden grain, the coffee where we will stop to see the coffee bushes, also having the opportunity to take a photograph of the Ventral Valley and from the coffee plantation. We will continue the tour through fern, flower and strawberry crops.
We will continue our way to La Paz Waterfalls on the way we will make a stop to try fresh strawberries, upon arrival we will walk along a beautiful trail, which leads to different attractions of the park, including the aviary, the largest butterfly observatory in the country , the hummingbird gallery, the serpentarium, the exhibition of frogs, monkeys and cats. In this place a delicious buffet-style lunch awaits us in the middle of the rainforest, at the end of lunch we will take a walk where we can visit three imposing natural waterfalls formed by the same La Paz River.
It should be noted that this walk takes place in the humid tropical forest sector and consists of steps in some parts of the route.

Eduardo Castro was amazing! The absolute best. Will be asking for him again in the future! The tour was beautiful. My mom couldn’t not handle the steps to the waterfall so he drove her to see it

Antonio was great! Funny and kind! Told us about Costa Rica, it’s history, animals, plants, resources, etc. He also went out of his way to return a wallet left in his van! So kind of him! We had a great time!

The waterfalls are beautiful and the buffet plentiful. The pineapple drink in the buffet is not good. As many fruits as there are in Costa Rica, the buffet could offer a better beverage selection. I have a hard time believing that all the animals are rescues. Even if they were, the space is confined. The poor oxen are sustaining a cart all day where people can climb. This oxen activity should be eliminated.

The tour would have been better if the tour guide had given us some information about the the La Paz waterfalls, etc.
Also, he did not take us to see the coffee plants and the strawberries which were listed in the description saying we would go on our way back, but he drove us straight to our hotel later. Our "tour guide" pretty much drove us there, and back to our hotel.
