Masks, Coffee, Food, and More!!

This tour is an incredible way to see and experience San Jose in 1 day. Due to travel delays, our family of 5 came straight from the airport to the tour. Eric and Dinora immediately made sure we were relaxed and taken care of. Their love of the people and culture of Costa Rica shines through the entire tour! The actual tour was filled with so many memorable moments! From learning about natural remedies and trying ceviche in the Mercado central to all the fruits in the fruit market and seeing banana vinegar in process to the history of the national theater they were knowledgeable, answered all our questions, and had great stories to really make the information come alive. Heading up to Escazu to meet the mask maker was a special experience. His enthusiasm and love for his craft is infectious.

Definitely take this tour! It takes several hours, but the time flies by. Wear good walking shoes and be ready to try new foods and to just absorb the moments. For our family, it was a perfect start to our Costa Rica adventure!

Eric is an excellent guide and the tapas dinner is excellent. The views from the Escazu Mountains is mesmerizing even with the fog.
Great day

We really enjoyed this tour! Although it was a little slow at the beginning in San Jose, we were glad to ride the bus to and visit the historic center of Escazu .
The art center cafe was charming with its Al fresco dining experience and interesting works by modern craftspeople and artists. Eric, our guide was very knowledgeable and informative. He lives in the area and is obviously proud of its heritage. We appreciated that Eric ensured that there was no pressure to buy anything on this tour. The mask maker visit was fun and memorable! The views from the top of Cerro Escazu were magnificent. Wear good hiking shoes as it is a steep climb.

This was a nice day and good learning experience for our family!
A Very Memorable Day Hiking in the Suburbs of San Jose

This was my second time to Costa Rica. I had toured San Jose on my first trip but this tour exceeded my expectations and provided me a greater perspective of how the locals live in San Jose, as well as any previous tours of the city. My husband and I REALLY enjoyed learning about the suburbs, especially Escazu. The afternoon hike was challenging but well worth the effort given the amazing view of the city. It is doubtful we would have every found the trail without a guide. Afternoon refreshments were offered in a unique restaurant. Dinner was an opportunity to enjoy traditional Costa Rican offerings in a historic environment. Words cannot express how much we enjoyed the day!
