What To Expect
Poas Volcano National Park
The Tour will start with pick up at your hotel to take you at Poas Volcano, as we ascend the mountain, we will see coffee plantations as well as fern, flower and strawberry farms along the way, creating a beautiful array of colors and visuals.
There is a noticeable change in temperature and vegetation, preparing us for the pleasure of the exuberant cloud forest of the Poas Volcano.
The Poás Volcano, is an active 2,708-metre (8,885 ft) stratovolcano. The crater of the volcano is over a mile across and 1050 feet deep. It has erupted 40 times since 1828, including April, 2017.
At the Volcano we will have time to enjoy the impressive main crater with its sulfur fumaroles.

Paos Volcano and La Paz Waterfall

Giovanni, our guide, was awesome! He was very knowledgeable and patient. It was just the two of us on the tour so we definitely had a VIP experience! I loved the visit to the three generation coffee farm and shop. We drank coffee on a balcony while overlooking the vista of the coffee farm. It was a breathtaking view. Then we headed to the Paos Volcano. I would have wished for more time to hike the trails but we were not able to stay more than 20 minutes because of COVID protocol. Lastly we headed to La Paz waterfall and gardens. I was surprised to see animals on the grounds. The big cats, like the cougar and jaguar should not be caged. They belong in the wild However, the waterfall and gardens were stunning!

Breath taking tour, definitely worth it!! The crater is absolutely gorgeous, hard to see due to the fog, the Starbucks tour is decent but the views are amazing

We bought a tour through the Viator system on behalf of this company and everything went perfect and in accordance to which the itinerary corresponded, they quickly contacted us through whatsapp giving us a special treatment and vip, also which is very useful they told us that we should bring for the cold and rain

Got unlucky with the Volcano because of the rain and the clouds. The Starbucks tour was very interesting and the guide was very knowledgeable about the whole process of coffee making. Our tour guide Jorge was great. Provided a lot of information throughout the trip and was very helpful.
