What To Expect
Irazu Volcano National Park
We start our tour in San José and surroundings at 07:00 in the morning, to take advantage of our day we start the direct tour to the volcano, upon arrival we will have a tour of the main crater of the volcano, we can see the main lagoon and the guide us It will explain a little about the history of this volcano.
After the walk through the main crater, we go to the highest point of the national park (3,432 meters above sea level), the second highest point in Costa Rica.
This volcano is active, and it is one of the most beautiful in Costa Rica, on a clear day it is possible to see the entire central valley and also the central volcanic mountain range made up of 4 volcanoes.

This trip was great! Not only the crater/vulcano was beautiful, but also the way up was worth this trip. Hayro was an amazing guide who shared a lot of his knowledge, not only about the flora/fauna of the area, but also about Costa Rica/San José. He told very vivid stories, but also gave some practical tips, which were very helpful for the rest of our holiday. Definitely recommend!!

We absolutely loved this tour with Randall the driver and our tour guide Alejandro and would recommend it to anyone. Alejandro was super friendly, helpful, considerate, personal and knowledgeable - educating us not only on the Irazú volcano but on San Jose and the region in general.

Jovial guide, with good knowledge. Shared information in both English and Spanish. A great trip with some amazing views. The slight disappointment that the volcano craters were empty of water meant not a photographic.
